So, I have 2 broody silkies, with 9 eggs under them total. One has all silkie eggs, the other a mix of English orps. I candled the silkie eggs, (they are 2 weeks in) all developing wonderfully. I candle the 5 EO eggs, I can't tell. The yolks look darkish, but they have no real veins. They are 1 week. When I candle the silkie eggs at 1 week I could see eyes and veins galore. I've seen my EO Roo mate with the hens. There was one that had a possible blood ring, and another was a bit darker then the others. Anyone have a pic of a 'first trimester' EO (or other large egg)? Should I give up hope?
