My disable hen has an inflamed white spot on her breast area that has gotten larger and is swelling. I noticed this 2 days ago.

She is a permanent inside pet and spends her days scooting around on hardwood floors.

I do have antibiotics on hand but do not know how much to give her.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated. 002.JPG

It could be a breast blister from pressure on her breast bone. Betadine or chlorhexidene can be used to clean the wound. If there is pus inside it, you can open it, squeeze any pus out, and apply plain antibiotics ointment after cleaning it.

How would I open it?

I would only open it if it was swollen like an abscess, and then it could be opened with a sterilized needle or disposable scalpel blade after disinfecting the skin.
It is. I will try that. Thank you very much.

Update: She is getting worse. I tried to open it but there was no puss. It looks like it could be but it isn't. It is more inflamed now. What can I do? Any advise?
