Inflated Chick!?!?

My fully feathered out chick who was attacked by a dog is inflated on one side, when you feel it, it feels like a balloon . It looks like she is full of air on that side. Should I take a needle and poke that side? Help!!! She is walking and eating and drinking.

Sounds like it could have an abscess! I know for our horses we put a drawing salve on it. Not sure what to do for a chick

Be very careful trying to lance as the bird is small and what looks like a small cut to you is big to them.

Is the site hot to the touch(more than the rest of the bird?). if the wounds are still open try using tri-coat(purple spray).
Also try a warm compress. You will have to hold the bird for this. If the wounds werent too bad to begin with this could just be normal swelling. If you can try to get some wound pics.
