moving to texas for work in houston and need to know what area's around there that you can have your critters....

I haven't been there in 19 yrs, but I used to live up in Cypress, close to Tomball, in NW Harris County. It was pretty wide open back then, but I've heard it's grown quite a bit. There are probably still some small acreage properties available that aren't too far from the city. To the south of Houston, you've got Katy, which is probably still heavily ag oriented. If you watch Animal Cops Houston you can get a feel for which areas still have small farms.

It's beautiful down there.............but STICKY. The humidity and I never did get along (especially since I didn't know my a/c unit wasn't the size it needed to be for the house I was in, and it didn't really work anyway).
