    I'll be in the barn!
I don't know much about the Avian Influenza. Have any tips?
Since July I have had several hens die. Some have 1-3 symptoms of the Avian flu. I know there are several different diseases with those symptoms too. I just want to be sure that I don't have Avian flu on my hands. There are no chicken vets around here anymore. :(

Sanitation and flock bio-security are the most important things.

We had an AI scare in my state, and I'll post the video for things to do to help prevent infection (as much as possible).

Big thing is bio-security. Don't take your birds anywhere. Don't bring in new older birds. Keep wild animals and birds away as much as possible. Do not walk around park areas where there is water fowl then walk in your yard.

There are a lot of things that can go through a flock; and you are right, AI is only one of them.

Hope your flock is thriving soon.
