Info on the chocolate wyandotte genetics

I really liked the Duns I had back then. They were good chickens and had really good type to boot.

I did make my own creation with them, Dun Laced Gold. I only ever had a pair or trio of them before I got rid of them.

Do you want information on the Dun ,an allele of Dominant White, as described in the previous post, OR information on the Sex-linked Recessive Chocolate gene?Chocolate Wyandottes in the US are Dun birds, Chocolate Wyandottes in the UK are Sex-linked Recessive Chocolate.

Actually, there are Sex-linked Chocolate Wyandottes here in the US also........I got my originals from Jerry Foley.

very interesting article on Duns...Happy to say that there are now sex-linked chocolates in the US thanks to Jerry Foley...... :) Below one of my hens that I bred from birds I bought from him in 2014.
