Information on Day 7 Egg Please

I figured, at candling on day 4, that my egg #6 wasn't doing anything. We put it back under Xena. Day 7, recandled and it looked blank, so we called it a dud.



Now, we cracked it open, and this is what we found:

Upper left corner, there are 2 red spots. There is also a white ring, that kinda looks like a chicken embryo. Can someone tell me what these things are? Or, even if the egg was fertile?

At day 7 there would be more blood than those 2 tiny dots.

Those are blood spots which can happen in eggs. I’ve cracked fresh eggs and they’ve had blood spots. Your egg was infertile or stopped developing before blood formed.

Looks like a blood ring. Was there any veins you could see?

I’ve seen a few when candling that have a blood ring but still some veins and the embryo is moving. Then the next time I candle there’s no veins or movement.

This had veins and lots of movement. So, kind of worried.

Out of curiosity (I have eggs in the incubator/under broody too) what exactly does a "blood ring" mean?
