Hello...

Im stressing out!!!!
barnie.gif

Im a new owner of 7 pullets....The last one I got, a gold wyandotte was from a big farm with loads of chickens. I have had them for 1 month now and ever since I got her she has been a bit of a "loner". Sits away from the others sometimes, is last to come out of the coop when I open it to let them out..... doesn't come running over for treats etc and aways seemed a little slower than the others. She still eats and drinks and roosts with them.

Two days ago I noticed her starting to walk funny but today she is limping and can only walk on one leg. She can barely walk actually and has been sitting most of the day. I have separated her in the same coop with a bit of mesh and she has her own food and water because some of the others keep bumping and walking over her. I put a cat carrier with straw in her enclosure and she is sleeping in it tonight. I really hope a few days resting will make her come good but I'm really stressing out that it could be "marek disease" ?? I only read about that on this website tonight. Then again I could be totally over reacting ( like I normally do with my animals) but I couldn't stand seeing her hobbling around and falling over today.

She was sqwarking a little but too but settled once she sat down.

What else can I do? or try????

Thanks for your reply's !
