Congratulations on your inheritance!
Sometimes moving to a new location is confusing and stressful for chickens, so you can help them by "homing" them to the coop. If you have an attached run, you may have to keep them locked in for several days to a week. They'll soon learn their new routine of where to lay and roost.

Sounds like your reddish hen could be any variety of production or hybrid layer, like Rhode Island Red or a type of sex link. The white one could be an Easter Egger (puffy cheeks and beard), another hybrid thats lays greenish to bluish eggs. They can eat bananas as a treat, but may also enjoy other fruits/veggies and mealworms... only in moderation.
