Injectable ivermectin in water dosage

The ivermectin worked. Killed worms. Saw them dead in the poop. I followed up after 2 weeks with 2 more days of treatment.

What ivermectin did you use

I've used two brands of Ivermectine and both worked fine for me. Agri-mectine and Noromectine

I have been using ivermectin to treat my chickens for lice, mites worms, and one turkey that had a really bad sword on its hip. It even cured that!

I have 3 chickens that are about 6 months old I got a month ago. Today I notice a small worm in poop. Maybe a cm long. In the chicken health handbook it says do 4ml of injectable ivermectin in gallon of water, and let that be only water source for 2 days. Anyone else do this method? I started a few hours ago, had the ivermectin on hand. I searched through forum first, but could not find a ton of info. Thanks for any guidance. Also do I need to do a follow up treatment in 2 week.

Saw where someone said Ivermectin was not good. I disagree. I had a sick hen and didn’t know what to do. Outside of molting she’d been isolating herself and acting strange. I gave her a shot of 0.5 mg/kg of Ivermectin and the next day she was looking better. Five days later she is eating and back to normal.

This is an older thread, you're not likely to recieve an answer from the op. Ivermectin is not good for treating worms, not knowing what was wrong with your hen, there's mo telling if it helped or not.

Well all I know is she was not feeling well and we thought she might not make it and now she is fine and back up her sassy self.

That's not really evidence of causation, but I'm glad your hen bounced back.
