Injectable Vitamin b fortified for chickens.

Mareks tends to affect young birds in a flock typically between 2-8 months old. Some birds or breeds seem to be more susceptible to it. Some birds seem to be immune to it. The reason I mentioned Mareks is that you have said that you have lost young birds to suspected vitamin deficiency. You said your bird has the splits. The B complex should be injected at the base of the neck if you are giving it under the skin. You can also give B complex orally which is safer and easier. Sometimes it is good to post a short video of the chicken walking to YouTube with a link posted here, to see what you are seeing. If you should lose another bird, I would have the state vet do a necropsy to look for what killed your bird. No one wants to believe that they have Mareks, but it would be a good way to rule it out, and get you some answers.

Is she able to walk around some, even though she is wobbly? I had a 7 yr old hen who was so wobbly for 5 weeks last winter, that she would stand and fall backwards or fall over sideways. She recovered, and though she still wobbles occasionally, she walks all over the yard all day long, but just cannot jump up to a roost. The important thing is that you make sure that she can get enough food and water, until she is recovered. Let us know how she gets along.

Ok guys. So a WHOLE new problem just arose on top of all this other stuff. I came home yesterday and 2 birds were dead missing most of their heads inside the pen to the coop. i did have the door open for them to be free ranging all day. So after setting up some live traps and a camera over last night. I woke up to finding nothing on the camera or in the traps. So before i left today for work my only rooster that could get out into one of my pens. Starts freeeeeeking out. I pulled up my camera and ran to the window to only find this

Yes that is a Hawk sitting beside my one pen and coop.
I did catch it in the live trap surprisingly and called the game commission. They informed me they are protected and i had to take it over 10 miles away and release it.
So i did.

Its just one thing after another. ugh

So back to the vitamin b issue. So i thought i was being diligant and giving my birds extra vitamin b with this catalyst that i give them in there water. But i now find out tonight that is DOESN'T have vitamin B in it.

SOOOO for the last few months i was thinking i was giving them extra vitamins and i havn't been. So now i am also going to be adding liquid vitamin B 12 complex too. So i guess its back to working on this vitamin b deficiency.

PS i gutted both the birds that it killed and looked at the livers and both birds looked perfectly fine. The one bird was 3 years old and the other was maybe 5-7 years old (lost track on her) I think its safe to rule out marek's disease

here is the link i reviewed to check for marek's

I'm sorry for your loss.
The Catalyst that you have been using does have B2 - it's Riboflavin. How often do you put that in the water?
What type of food/treats do you feed?

Your vitamin label has B1 thiamine, B2 riboflavin, pantothenic acid, folic acid, and biotin, all B vitamins. B12 and B complex are not the same thing. B12 only has B12. B Complex has most B vitamins and sometimes some vitamin C. Sorry about your hawk attack and losing the 2 chickens. Here is a list of B vitamins:
