Injured 2 day old chick

I have a 2 or 3day chick that has been attacked and pecked by some hens. It is missing most if not all of its feathers. I have treated with neuosporin and i have it with its mother for warmth. It does appear though that its skin is drying out. Should I continue to treat with neosporin or start using petroleum jelly, or what else could I do?
