    Hello All
I have a barred rock with injured leg. It has become very swollen. She does not walk. I don't think it is bumble foot, but something in the "knee" joint. Still eating and drinking like normal. Leg is not "floppy" loose like a break. Seems to be tendon or possibly infection. She started limping, with no swelling. Now, she doesn't walk and very swollen. Is there an anti-biotic or anything I can give her before.........

Oh man I don't know what that could be.

Maybe just try to make sure she's eating and drinking (maybe seperate her from the rest of the flock?) and limit the excersize on the leg. If it doesn't heal on it's own, I guess I'd bring her to the vet.

How much work are you willing to do? Can you do warm baths in epson salts? Keep her in a clean place?
