Two days ago, an opossum got into my coop. It killed two of my girls and severely wounded my two boys. While at the vet, one of my boys died. The other one, Wisteria, is now doing pretty well. He has puncture wounds on his head and neck and probable brain damage. BUT, he's doing a lot better than two days ago. He can swallow, stand, walk, and even crow! I'm so proud!
However, I'm not seeing him eat. I will feed him with a syringe until he decides to eat on his own. What can I put in water to give him the nutrients he needs?

Be very careful feeding him--he may aspirate or choke. KayTee baby bird feed may be easily tube fed. He may need to be tube fed for a time. A piece of aquarium tubing and a 60 cc syringe (regular tip) can be used to put into the crop for feeding.
