Injured chicken still panting 5 days after attack, can't breath?? Won't eat either

Have any of you experienced a chicken who still open mouth breathes days after an attack?? At first i thought it was just stress but it hasnt gone away and is getting worse. She has an open 2 in wound in front of her left breast area. We've cleaned it and continue putting medicine on it and its looking okay, no infection i can see. Every once and a while she will let out a shriek and shake all over. I know it kinda sounds like gapeworm but she never did this before the attack. She fjnally started drinking on her own a few days ago but still wont eat unless i force it down her and thats hard. Any help, ideas, or suggestions would be great. What type of attack was it?
How old is she?
Have you separated her and if so does she have warmth, but also a way to get cool?
If it was an animal attack like from a dog/cat she could have internal injuries (crushing injury) which may be causing the breathing problem.
Offer her wet mash since she is not eating, wet her chick feed and make it into a paste, you can also try hard boiled egg or tuna.

My did the same thing when she don't attacked by a dog. After a few days of her being isolated and not really changing, I decided to let her go visit one of the other hens i have for an hour. That made her better I guess because things were back to normal. ( I would stay outside and watch to make sure nothing happens.) I would do this everyday till the wounds healed. Then let her go out with the other ones. She's still not the same she acts like she never knows what's going on. And it's been 2 years. She acts so helpless but no other problems from her or the hens.

Thanks guys I actually did everything thing you suggested but she ended up passing away yesterday. She was having a very hard time breathing so i dont know if there was a puncture we couldnt find that got her lung or her throat was too swollen. The night before she was actually alert and hanging out with the other chickens so i was hopeful but that may have over exerted her because she passed the next morning. Still have no idea what got her unfortunately. Nothings happened to the others since. She was a big black jersey giant and had blood on her talons so hopefully it wont be coming back.
