Hello! I'm new to this community and looking for some advice. I recently had two hens hatch some chicks and after they had hatched, put them all in a community pen where they could see the rest of the flock but not interact yet. After they were in there for a day, I noticed that one of the mothers, Chip, was pecking at one of the chicks. We decided to keep a close eye on it. When my daughter went to check on them a little later, one of the chicks was bloody and laying on its back. I then went to check on the rest and found another bloody chick. We separated the two mothers and gave them the chicks they each hatched so both groups seem happy now.
I'm trying to care for the injured chicks and looking for any advice you may have to offer. I washed the winds and put peroxide on them. They are both inside now under a heat lamp. One is trying to hop a bit, the other doesn't seem to be doing well. Is there anything else I can do for them? Would they be better off with mother hen?
Thank you for any advice you can provide!

sorry for the circumstances. Given what appears to be the severity of the wounds, I would not return them to the mother. There would be a significant danger of fly strike. I would not use any more peroxide, but would apply antibiotic ointment to the wounds. I have seen chicks survive from similar wounds. Good luck.
