Injured deer.....

If she does not look sick and is not harming your property or animals, I would leave her alone and enjoy her. If she goes to eating your garden, if you have one, you may want to put something up to keep her out.

Cracked corn, salt lick, watermelon, etc. these things she will like, if you can afford it.

I would imagine the only thing any of these organizations would be able to do is come out and put the deer down. If it was me and the deer wasn't hurting anything I would put a little corn out and a salt lick, but other than that I'd let nature take it's course. If the wound happened last year and not only did the injury heal, but she found food throughout the winter, I'd think there is a good chance she'll do okay. She has beat the odds already. I would think a bloody wound would have brought out the predators, but she managed to stay safe. Deer have babies right now and aren't usually in herds, which is probably why she is alone. I think she'll be okay.

She is looking very thin.....and is having a difficult time moving around. That was my only concern really. I don't want her to be in pain.

I did call the Dept of fish and game and IF she ever needed to be put down because of her health they said i can call them.

I will let her be for now and i will find some of the snacks you all suggested. Thanks!!

Good luck with her! You should try to snap some pictures for us! I would love to have some local deer around my area that I could give treats to and such. Even though DH would want to hunt them, Id make him go to the woods or something for that LOL Not my babies LOL
