Injured duck and chicken question.Plz help!

Hello,
My pekin duck who has always had great feathers recently started to loose some feathers, thought it was mites perhaps at first but they started growing back rather quickly, had similar problem with a chicken but hers she plucks and hasn't grown back nearly as much and hers has been since winter. Today I went out to the coop to do my usual routine and noticed the pekin was bleeding under his wing. Do you think it looks more like some type of infection, or another duck, or chicken, or perhaps could a rat do that? We have a rat who keeps stealing ducks eggs so I don't wanna rule anything out!!.... Feel so horrible because I feel so helpless. I washed him up and put some styptic powder on it, but is there something more I can do?? Also attached a pic of how I found one the hens the other day, all other chickens and ducks seem fine, just them two. I stood outside for a while to see if I can find a culprit but had no luck. Just want to have healthy happy little feathered friends. Thanks!! Don't want to be a bad barnyard mom !!

I don't know much about ducks. But the top picture looks like the feathers are actually broken.
Is there any fighting in the flock?
Are you meaning that the chicken plucks her own feathers out?
What type of food do they have?
Have you check for lice/mites?

Clean the wounds well with a saline solution or diluted betadine solution, you may need to determine whether the broken feather need to be pulled out. Apply some plain neosporin, vetericyn spray or blue kote to the wounds and keep an eye out for infection (pus, odors, discharge). If the wounds are visible to the rest of the flock a coating of blue kote may be in order to help deter others from pecking at the open places.

There is always a possibility it could be a rat, they have been known to "feed" on birds, but generally I think they do so at night. Since I assume this was during the day, it looks more like a picking/fighting injury to both.
I would look here on BYC to see what options you have in catching the rat since if you are seeing one, there will be more.

Been checking since I got them for mites/lice just because I knew thats a problem they could have and thats my worst nightmare so I check as precaution. I know they do not like the new pellets as much I got them so I will switch back.Did finally see one of the ducks go at his feathers after a swim but didnt seem in an aggressive way more like a cleaning way but will continue to monitor that for sure!!...The chicken was pulling some of her feathers so we put some no pluck stuff on.Stuff smells like grape,hoping she will stop but she seems to like the grape so I'm not sure now.Put some flock bocks out there and some treat balls.
Shes the only one who does that.She even gets a lil nippy with us.She hasn't been same since her rooster friend died.Hoping with the addition of new friends she wont feel so lonely.I just gotta be careful but introdcing them in.No more ducks though.As great as they are ,they are messy.Maybe I can see if there is someone local who could confirm its not mites/lice and Im not missing anything being a first timer to chickens.Thanks!!
