Injured duck leg- possibly broken. Need advice!

Have you ever heard of bumble foot? It doesn’t look too much like one except hard to tell by pics if the blk is scabs? If the swelling is coming from the foot it’s an infection also could be a niacin deficiency Pekins are especially prone to it and since many of us don’t have access to duckling specific feed have to supplement since chick feed doesn’t have enough for water fowl. It’s very important for healthy leg muscles, if in the US go to TSC and look for Durvet liquid b complex it maybe in the cattle section it will say injectable but we use it orally for our birds you can start her on it ASAP you maybe able to get her up an walking again but this deficiency can lead to death or crippled duck if not treated. Put 1 ml over a tasty treat so she gets full dose daily. Hopefully she’s eating and drinking? Can you wash her feet real good an post a few more of the bottom of her feet or did you already do this?

This is what you need to get just as @Miss Lydia said. Hopefully you have a tractor supply near you!

Thank you so much, we do not think it is bumblefoot but it may be Niacin deficiency. Okay, and we will order some of that stuff and some bakers yeast for them. And tomorrow after I get back Home I will wash her foot and take some more pictures. And she is eating and drinking just fine, she has a normal appetite and is drinking regularly. Thank you so much and I will get back with you with those photos. Thanks for the information.

Just a small correction in your plan, not baker's yeast. Brewers yeast is ok but Nutritional yeast is better. You can find it on amazon.

Is she able to extend the leg all the way out? is that redness on both areas behind the Knee? swelling any place you can see or feel? Did you get the Liquid B complex?

She is able to extend the leg all the way out. And I actually think that all of our ducks have that pink line. And we have ordered the Liquid B complex. And the brewers yeast.

Looks like she’s up walking ? Rest, warm water therapy, b complex. If it’s an injury or a nutrient deficiency once you get her on it usually less than a week you see improvement. If injury they still need the support but just like us can take longer to heal.
