Hey!
I went into the pen this morning and found one of my duck hens sitting in the corner. When I walked closer she got up and hobbled away like one of her legs were injured. Then I noticed a scrape or something on her wing. Which is what's pictured.
Theres no way there was any predator in the pen. Would this be a breeding injury? I saw one of the other females picking at her wound, do females beat up on eachother?
I have 6 ducks. 2 males, 4 females. They are kept in the same large pen as a couple dozen-ish chickens, including 3 roosters. My 2 silkie roosters dont make a fuss of anything, my big rooster seemed to be hoarding off the others from bugging the my injured duck.
Any insight on how you think this happened and also what I can do to help would be greatly appreciated!
I have her separated in a big dog kennel right now.
