Hello,
Im new to this group and hope for some good advise about our sweet duck.
Our penkin hen is a year old and up until about six weeks ago she was very healthy and running amok out of our backyard. Unfortunately she has had a severe mating injury where she pulled ligaments in her hip area. The vet told us there was nothing they could and advised us to give her seclusion & time. He also explained that she may never recover and always walk with a limp. I followed his instructions for about 3 weeks hoping that things would get better.
She's very healthy, she eats well and seems content, but walks with a horrible limp and I've noticed recently that she now walks very pigeon-toed. She continuously trips over herself. It's exhausting to watch. I feel so bad for her. I'm looking to see if anybody has any advice on what I could or should be doing.
Thank you
