I have an 8 week old Rouen that injured his leg over the weekend. We were gone for the day and think our dog played a little too rough with him. We came home and found him laying with his leg out to the side. It was very swollen and he wouldn't walk on it at all. We called our vet and he recommended a quarter of a baby aspirin to reduce swelling but if he needed more he would have to refer us somewhere else. After 4 days, the swelling has gone down and he is putting a little weight on it but not a lot. I don't see any visible breaks but it seems to be turned out a bit.
All this to ask, how long do we wait to see if he will come out of it? Should we see what a vet has to say?
