Injured Duck

[Wainui Duck]

Hi, one of my duck has been injured by my dog. (2 weeks ago) She has broken her wing, and I have been looking after her while she heals. Today my husband and I have made the decision to cull her. My question is, will she be safe to consume? Or do I need to be aware of any problems after a dog bite.

Culling shouldn’t be nessasary. We could help you treat it if you want to give her a chance. If you have your mind set on culling her though, I don’t know the snark your question. Good luck!
