Hello everyone, I am hoping I can get some advice on what the best thing to do for my injured rouen girl.
About two weeks ago my flock was attacked by a mink. All were killed except my two rouen ladies( mother and daughter.)
Since then, the daughter (judy) neck has been like this
the bites to her head have cleaned and are healing up nicely but she has this lump in her neck and is unable to reach back to do her duckie clean.
She eats and drinks but not as well as she did. I was hoping it was an injury and swelling that would go down with time, but I'm worried it's something worse.
Should i have her put down, or give it a bit longer and see if she starts to put weight back on?
She walks around fine and walked down to the pond and swam today.
Does anyone know what could be wrong or has anyone had this same type oof injury and the duck lived a long happy life?
Thank you
