Injured duckling please HELP!!

Hi
I am the owner of a new Indian runner duckling (4days old) and I was enjoying sometime in the sun with it when I accidentally trod on its foot...everything seems to be moving and doesn't seem to be broken however there is a dark purple bruise. Can anyone help me help my little Eric?

Do you have any Epsom salt? Be careful with it because it is a laxative, so don't let Eric eat or drink it. It is also a treatment for bruises.

You can make a little compress.

Put a tablespoon of Epsom salt in a half cup of water. Soak a clean rag or washcloth or paper towel in it, and wrap it gently around his foot and leg and hold it there for a while. It may be easier to get him to sit on it in your lap. I would do that two or three times a day for a couple of days.
