Injured feet?

catch your duck. Make sure the head sticks trough your arm and body and you gently squeeze the body between your arm and body while resting at your underarm. ( so your duck is laying on your arm with her butt away from you) stretch the leg of your duck and ask someone else to take a picture... in my opinion that's the easiest way without giving the duck too much stress.

Good Job! No bumblefeet. It becomes more plausible that she indeed has an injury like a broken or sprained toe. I would make sure she is in a safe space, doesn't need to run from drakes to give it time to heal. If she is in obvious pain you could try some baby asprin @Miss Lydia knows more about this.

And watch her foot regularly to see if no black scab appears than there is an infection going on.

If a vet is an option I would suggest give him / her a call to discuss how to treath this too as we are no vetrinarians.

I don’t know what to do about the drake. He is very mean to humans and he has almost pulled her eye out before. Can’t really get rid of him since he’s the only other duck and they’ve been together for 3 years. I’m starting to think he causes her foot problems with how he stands on her. He weighs way more than her. Hopefully she heals quickly! Thanks ☺️

It's hormones, most of the time a drake needs more than one girl. otherwise the girl has a hard life. If they are just the two of them I would just leave them be together as mating season is almost over and hormones will calm down. (at least here it is).

If they mate on land it could very well be caused by the drake or by her when she was running away from him.
She probably will heal. I love to see a picture of the lovebirds ☺️

If you can separate them but where they can be side by side that would work to give her time to heal. I actually have 3 Runners and 3 Muscovy separated from my 2 Runner drakes and most likely it will be fall before they can all be together again 2 were injured one got an infected wound on her neck the other one had her head chewed too close to her eye. The Muscovy are separated becasue they are old and the drakes won't leave them alone. Thankfully my other females 13 total have no over mating injuries on them.
Soaks in warm Epsom salt foot bath can help with healing too just don't let her drink the water it can cause dehydration and runny poop.
