Injured foot

This hen injured her foot about a month ago. Not sure if it is frostbite related, or from the other hens. She is currently living in my garage in a large dog crate. The vet has seen her, given her an antibiotic shot, and she is receiving oral antibiotics 2 times a day. I am melting coconut oil and immersing her foot in it twice a day as well. She is not 100% weight bearing, but does not seem to fuss if I massage and examine it.

Thoughts, ideas, or experience? Thanks!

Hmm it does look a little like frostbite... was there blood? Its hard to see in the photo but I do have experience with frost bite... my rooster got frost bite on his foot last month as well and it looks just like that and two of his toes are about to fall off... i'm not an expert but I do have a feeling it could be frost bite... here is an expert that might be able to help you @Miss Lydia

Yep. Looks like frostbite, all right. And the black toes will probably fall off.

You are doing everything you can. She will be okay and learn to use her foot without those pesky toes.

Yea I agree with @azygous my roos two toes are black just like that and the tip of his toes and nails are slowly starting to break off... so be ready for some toes on the ground
