I caught this wild hen that roams around my neighborhood this morning. She was left in the coop with my rooster and 2 other hens...I just came home from work and found her like this. She was perfectly fine this morning :(
Did my rooster do that?

Could of been either of the other chickens, did you try introducing her properly? if you didn't, then google "how to introduce chickens" if you haven't introduced chickens before and if you have, then ignore me. You should seperate them if you haven't done so already... Sorry, I do not know how much you have done. Was she in a separate secure area when attacked by the other chickens? Had she been interacting with them before she was attacked? I hope she heals well.

She is wild so only my rooster has interacted with her before. They actually like each other. The other hens are semi wild and are only 5 months old. They still have their wings so I don't let them out. My rooster is a house chicken but when I'm working he goes outside into the coop. I don't have anywhere else to put her and I don't want to release her in that kind of condition.

Oh ok that's a better situation.. if that can be called better. Hmm.... could you possibly get your hands on some Vetericyn? that stuff is great. I used it on a hen with far worse wounds than that and she almost survived exept the dog that did it to her broke into my run and ripped a hole in the "infirmirary" and ate her and her buddy.

If the chickens like each other than weird... can you somehow block off a corner of your coop and put her in so the other chickens cannot peck at the wound? you can also use blu-cote if you nead a really temporary solution while you figure something out.

When I woke up I put Oz back in the coop and noticed my alpha pullet picking on her.

She's been in the neighborhood for a couple of years. I named her Dorothy since my rooster is Oz haha.

Oz started to pick on her too. Poor Dorothy would just squat down and take the pecks. Sometimes she would scream.
I ended up letting her out and giving her her own feeder and water bowl. Hopefully she stays in my yard. She usually does.
