Injured leg

My hen has an injury on 1 leg. She doesn’t seem to move the leg almost at all and there is a large bump at the top of the injured leg. Any one seen this before or know what may have happened?

Is that black spot the bump/injury? It looks like necrosis( decaying tissue) did this happen suddenly or did you just notice after the limping started?

I just noticed it after the limping started. It’s a pretty large bump given compared to the size of her leg.

It’s the 2nd day since the injury and I haven’t looked at the spot in her leg. But she is definitely moving better than she was yesterday and even walking on the hurt leg. I’ll keep an eye on it but I suspect she’s going to continue to get better.
