I have an austrolorp whom i Thought was egg bound.
Her sisters were laying she wasnt.
We bathed and soaked and massaged. No egg.
After a week she began looking better.
But hobbling. So i Thought perhaps injured leg.
In her abdomen there seamed yellow bruising.
Again i thought eggbound..egg has broken inside her.. what can i do.
She has continued to eat colour is good happy chicken with a limp that was getting better but no eggs.
2 weeks on she reintroduced..but roosters were to interested..carrying leg again so separated.
She seems happy eating good colour comb. But is smelling so I've soaked her and there is now yellow i guess fat erupted from where the initial yellow bruising appeared several weeks ago.
Im dumbfounded.
Is tgis whay egg bound does?
Everything i read suggested if egg bound she would have died much earlier.
I feel i have to pts as I've never seen anyrhing like this and its erecting her leg so its like this interim has taken the left side abdomen and groin leg part.
Any suggestions or ideas

She had been isolated
