Injured lower eyelid

Can I do anything for this little guy? It happened last night.

Do you know how it happened?

The only thing I might do is rinse it with saline daily to help plus out debris. Keep watch on it, if it starts to have foam, signs of infection, etc. then dab a dot of Original Neosporin or Terramycin in the eye on the wound.
