Ok so i was driving back home, and saw a bird laying the middle of the dirt road. I thought it was dead. But i saw its head turn and look at my truck, but not make an effort to move. So i stopped.... i had to see if it was bleeding or what was wrong. When i got close, it tried to fly away but couldnt i think one leg is broken (it tried to use its wings as a crutch). The wind was up to 50+ mph yesterday so it must have hit the telephone pole nearby. I talked calmly to it, and it laid there and let me pick it up. I looked it over and didnt see blood or anything really out of order. It grabbed onto my finger with one of its feet, and the other foot didnt grab when i tried to see if it would.
I put it in its own pen and gave it food and water. It's still alive this morning. But what do I do? Can i call a wild bird rescue??
