Hello all,
I am on here looking for tips on injury treatment for my rooster. I will preface this with saying he's a wicked friendly guy and is isolated all day because he is a little more developed for his age than the majority of my flock and doesn't get social cues (he's getting there though).
That being said he is favoring one leg and is limping leading me to believe he hurt himself somehow. I did an inspection and found no physical injuries (cuts or weird shaped/missing toes). I am wondering if he tripped and sprained something but he was not sensitive when I rubbed his leg. He has not grown his spurs yet (maybe why he's so nice) but I have never heard of that causing pain. This morning, putting him in his quarantine I didn't notice anything which makes me worry that at some point during the move I strained him somehow. He's friendly but stingy so I do need to chase him a little. If things don't improve I am going to get a vet involved but want to check here to see what others have tried to speed up the healing process And not burn a hole in my pocket. Fern will thank you for it!
