I just rescued some chicks around my house after the mother ran away when they were attacked by rooster that also roams around my house. I never kept chicks before so this was the first time I actually decided to try and help these poor babies. Sadly one died earlier and Im not sure how and another one I rescued is showing some weird signs. The baby will look he is streching his wings but end up looking like he's stuck and then he'd fall over. I dont want any more chicks dying and I wanna be prepared to take care of more in the future. I do not what type of chicks they are, they litterly just run around out side of my house. I wanna be prepared and I want as much help/tips as possible. Thank you.

Welcome to BYC!
Thank you for trying to rescue these chicks.
Can you post some pictures of them so we can determine their age?
Are they full covered in feathers? If not and they still have down, they may need supplemental heat.
What are you feeding them? They need a chick starter formula or grower and may benefit from a boost from Poultry Nutri-Drench.

The two small darker ones are the babies I rescued yesterday and the two lighter color chicks are the ones I rescued a few days probably almost a week before the small ones. There was another smaller baby I rescued but sadly that little one didn't make it. I went to look for chicken feed or smaller chicken feed but I had no luck so I've been feeding them dried mealworms. I have a heatlap for them and I know I should of gotten a bigger area for them but, I just grabbed the first thing I saw in my house and my grandfather bought the other things they needed.
