Please can anyone advise me how to help my pet Quail?

I noticed one of my Chinese Painted (Button) Quail sitting down more than usual a couple of days ago. Thought it was just relaxing or sunbathing in the aviary. The same quail today was sitting in the foot bowl for hours. When I went to see if it was OK, it was having great difficulty walking. It limps badly, and sits back down after a few steps.

I picked him up and noticed he has a problem with his toes on one foot.

His feet are very clean, but 2 of his big toes are swollen up, one has blood / scabs on it, and his back little toes is bent forward under his foot (thing due to the swelling).

What can I do to help him? He is a pet and I am very attacked to the little guy.

Pretty sure its not bumble foot, as the middle of the foot is normal.
I don't think its scaly leg mites as the scales are still smooth and flat.
The toes are not broken, just swollen, and the one with blood on it is discoloured toward the nail.

I noticed on one of the toes there are a couple of raised areas that look like pimples...... like a mosquito bite lump. They are hard. and the same yellow colour as his feet scales.

Thank you for any advise you can give me. The poor thing seems very depressed and it must hurt him because he won't stand up or attempt to walk by himself.

Really need a few pics to help. haven't heard of this but maybe someone has @007Sean @Nabiki @Kiki

Without pics it's hard to say what might be the problem. You might try soaking it's feet in Epsom salt bath. Maybe try some antibiotic cream on the affected toes.
You say his feet are clean but if feces and other bedding material get coated on it's toes, it will appear that they are swollen. Can also cause the bleeding and scabs when it tears away from the toes.

I went to add more cream to his foot and take a some photos this afternoon. It has got a lot worse very quickly. The toes were not this swollen this morning at all!!!!

Yes.. He lives with his 4 brothers. I put him in a cage yesterday so I could treat him more easily without having catch him in the main aviary.

I hope someone will have an idea what is wrong and how to fix it soon.

What is his bedding like?

Is there any chance this could be from his brothers attacking his feet? I've had a quail attack his chicks' feet before. It wasn't quite this swollen, but it looked sort of similar.
