If you don't have Electrolytes, then mix 1tsp sugar, 1pinch salt and 1pinch baking soda to 1cup warm water.
See if the chick will take sips of that. It sounds like she's continued to eat/drink o.k., so this may not even be needed.

The wound looks pretty clean, but it's a good idea to rinse it with saline. Apply your triple antibiotic ointment.

The injury may look quite bad, but I would not put down a chick that is able to eat/drink and has been scalped. It will take time to heal, but very often this type injury is very much survivable if the wound is tended to daily and you keep the chick fed, watered and warm.

I really think you're doing great and this chick seems like it wants to live. You're giving it its best shot and probably will be fine!

You might even be able to try give it back to the hen after it's totally healed. That'll take several days though.

Chicks this young need to be kept at about 90° with the ability to move away and get back to as they feel the need.

She's not wanting to move away from my arms, I've been holding her. I just put her down to eat and drink. Then she starts peeping loud, only stops when I hold her. Her mom, is a chicken type that I've never seen before. She has no feathers on her neck, only a spot in the front that looks like a mustache

You’re doing great, don’t worry. We’re all here if you need guidance or have questions. Just be sure to keep the injury covered in ointment at all times as it’s healing. This is the best place for help raising chicks and there are such wonderful people here willing to help with illness and injury. Wonderful job stepping in to help this chick and welcome to the site, BTW.

oh her mother might be a naked neck, perhaps. The chick may be thinking you’re its mother, now, seeing you as a safe space as @Debbie292d said, edit to say oops sorry, I think that was actually @Nomadicus that said that , either way both had good advice! It may also get cold once you pull away. Baby chicks need to be kept warm, they can’t lock body heat in when they only have down feathers. You being at 98f is perfect for keeping her warm, so when you move her away from you she will be cold.

Sounds like a Turken or Silkie Showgirl aka naked neck.

Your hands are providing heat for it. She will peep loudly when cold.

Being inside at 75 is good, but she will need a little heat in her brooder box.
If you have a heating pad, this will work very well. Cover it with an old towel or cloth and set it on low to start.

Make sure there's room in her box/brooder to move away from the pad if she gets too warm.

Chicks like to snuggle, so a stuffed animal if you have one for her to snuggle to or roll up a piece of soft cloth, etc. for her to lean into will be a bit of comfort for when you're not holding her.

I know you're trying to process all the info coming in to you. I've used heating pads (Mama Heating Pad) successfully many times. If possible, make her a little "cave" but that may not be doable tonight. This thread has loads of photos of different ways to use a heating pad to brood chicks, you may find it helpful.
