Have two Rhode Island Red Hens plucked and battered 2 months ago by their sisters . They survived the attack but now that their injuries have healed they both haven't layed a single egg , but now their rear ends are covered in a hard calcium coating as if their vent is not able to finish processing their eggs. They don't show any signs of egg retention . I have to clean their bottoms everyday to help with the calcium build up. Will my girls Lay again or is their no hope for them ?????
