Injured wild bird

I was out doing yard work today when I saw a flicker flopping around in the grass. I’d seen it before doing the same thing, but it was always able to “fly” (something more like gliding) away. Today it couldn’t. I’ve got it in a rubber made container with a sheet over the whole thing. Any advice? (Posting pictures now)

If at all possible, try and get this bird to a local wildlife rehab facility. Until then, keep the bird in a quiet and dark place to minimize stress.
