So our shepherd got into the run the other night (found the one **** weak spot) I could t tell at night but found the next morning one of the hens had been bitten on her wing, the outer side close to the joint (attaching to the body). We washed the area wit hydrogen peroxide and water and sprayed with vetrecile. We have been checking it several times a day and separated her from the flock and have her in a chick condo with straw, water and food. She is eating and drinking ok, not great. She also has a hard time standing, kills me to see her pain!
Tonight I went to check on her and clean her up and discovered that it appears that a bone is sticking out!! I thought it was a pin feather but I think is def a bone. Not sure what I should do, can this heal?
