I have two turkeys that I put in with a mother hen thinking she would adopt them
. Boy was I wrong, the mother hen attacked one of my turkeys and made some large sores on it's back. I washed it under cool water since it had been hot out all day and then dried the turkey off and put neosporin on it's wounds and put it in the brooder with it's friend where they would both be warm and could rest and recoup from their traumatic day. The turkeys where both doing better today thank God. I was thinking of treating the wounds with neosporin after I cleaned them with some betadine swabs, would this be ok? I want to make sure it does not get any infections. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
