We have a chick that has been too adventurous, and went to jump out of an enclosure while I was closing the lid. I didn't catch it fast enough, and the weight of the lid caused a massive blister on its chest. The chick currently seems alert, and not in shock, but is there anything I can do for it/the swelling? What is the likelihood the poor thing will survive? It happened not even 15 minutes ago, and I can't find anything online.

It's on her chest. I'll try getting a picture with my laptop camera

Yeah, her screams were heartbreaking when it happened, but she seems to be perching, chirping, and acting normally now. It's squishy, and is bubbly. I wasn't sure if there was something I could do about reducing the swelling?

No idea about swelling. Maybe ice?

As long as she's acting normal she might be fine. Maybe she just has a little bump and it will go down in time.
