Injury in leg

swelling has occured in the inner hock of our large brahma rooster. He is unable to stand for any length of time. The swelling is almost bubble like in appearance. It is soft and not discolored. He is lying down, but leaning to the opposite side. We are waiting for the vet appt. $75 to see an avian vet here in CT , but they just dont specialize in chickens.

So sorry for your rooster.

I would think that you would need to get his weight off of the leg.

I would get him into some kind of a sling, hanging from somthing, with food & water in front of him
