I have a 3-4 month old blue Orpington that has a shut eye that kind of crusted over. I'm not sure if it's a injury or a disease. He isn't sneezing or wheezing at all so I don't think it's a disease but I just wanted to hear others opinions

I had one eye look similar to this a few weeks back..
I freaked out!
I am pretty sure mine was pecked in the eye.

What I did was rushed (it was a life or death emergency..in my head--although it was not really)
to the store and bought some of this:

I applied it religiously for two days and the eye was back to normal.

Looking back, I can not say for sure if the gel made it heal faster or if I wasted a few dollars.
Either way I'm glad I freaked out.

Ok thanks I will probably go buy something wen I go to the feed store tomorrow. I'll try to look for that. I haven't tried opening his eye should I? Or would that just hurt him more?

There is some drainage there in the eye, so I would open it and either flush it with saline or apply the Vetericyn eyewash or gel. They also have Terramycin eye ointment at most feed stores if you ask a clerk for it. Pecking can be a common reason for a swollen or closed eye or eye drainage. Watch for any other signs that might point to a respiratory disease, such as sneezing, gurgling, or nasal drainage.

before I even ask my question I want to make sure you understand I am a newbie and really do not know the answer...
What makes you see drainage?
