Injury or disease?

She turns her bad eye down as she pecks her food in a standard feeder. I have been cleaning it out regularly and putting antibiotics in it and also got some in her water. Rural King said peafowl get sinus infections. I bandaged her eye, it was difficult but I had to keep it covered to keep it clean and keep the antibiotics in it. I will change it twice a day. Hope it works!

I forgot to let you know it's a turkey about 4 weeks old.

She has a lesion on her nostril too? How about inside the beak?
Hopefully by keeping the eye clean, removing all the pus/debris daily and applying your ointment, her eye will heal.

What antibiotic are you giving?

It's really neither here nor there, but I thought this was a Poult, then you mention that RK said that Peachicks get sinus infection.

There's many causes of infection of the eyes/sinus, but if she's getting food in it - that would be a factor as well. The lesion on the beak, makes me think Fowl Pox which is a virus.

There is no lesion on her beak nor is there pus in her eye. She seems to be doing better the knot isn't red now, we have her alone in the house. She is getting quite spoiled actually. She falls asleep after I clean the eye and bandage is. Last night after she fell asleep she rolled over on her back and opened her wings. ( lol. Could be a tom)
