Hi Jess!

from S. Florida! Its great to have you here with us!

WELCOME.

I thought my Buff Orpington was going to be my favorite. She was the friendliest when young. My Barred Rock still runs from me. My 2 very common Rhode Island Reds are the friendliest. They free-range, but they are chow hounds, and they love to be underfoot, trying to get into the car, the house. One likes to be held and pet. The other tolerates it. They were also my earliest layers. They lay reliably every day, and the shells are SO hard and the yolks rich in color.

Welcome from CT. Cochins and Orpingtons are very sweet. I love my girls. Easter Eggers are supposed to be sweet too, but mine are a little less so than the others (maybe because I got them at 12 weeks old rather than day olds) You're smart to get the living situation settled before you get them. It's amazing how fast they out grow a brooder box!
