input for coop roofing

I will need some advice for the roof of our soon to be coop. We live in San Diego and the coop won't have much shade. We went to Home Depot and decided to go with corrugated roofing. However, we cannot use the metal because it will be too hot inside the coop, therefore we decided to go with the fiberglass/ plastic one. We definitely need a UV block, but they have two brand: Suntop and Suntuff. The Suntop is much cheaper than the Suntuff, but both are UV resistant, so we don't know which one will be the most appropriate to use for a chicken coop. Maybe there is another place, brand, or material similar to it, so, if someone could help us out, we will appreciated it. Thank you

I would start googling reveiws of the products if it were me. I was about to use Ondura on my roof for my coop, and after reading a lot of bad reviews, I decided against it. I have a metal roof on my barn-- it got up to 118 degrees last summer and it was still the coolest outbuilding on my place. I guess it might depend on how small your building is and how close the metal roof is to the ground, and what your ventilation is like. I've never had issues with it. We also have NO trees-- no shade. If you have good ventilation, you should be fine with whatever roof you decide on. Have you seen the large turkey barns? They are all metal. But they are basically pole barns with no sides-- just wire to keep them in/safe. They lower down vinyl panels in the winter for wind break. Just sayin', don't be quick to rule it all out. How large of a building are you talking about? I have no experience with the Suntop and Suntuff, but there must be some reason for the price difference, and I'd check reviews and product brochures to find out.

The extra money may not be worth it if there isn't much difference.

Thank you for your answer.... My coop is going to be 8 feet long by 8 feet wide by 7 (one side) and 6 feet high and 2 feet of the ground. The coop will have good ventilation because all the opening of the corrugated roof will be covered by hardware cloth and we are adding more vents as well. I googled but unfortunately I didn't really find anything.
