Quail on the way! I’d like to buy our live bugs in bulk since we’re having them shipped. I am considering Dubai roaches, butter worms, and meal worms.

I'm not familiar with butter worms, but I raise mealworms (if the mold this year didn't kill them all, haven't looked in a while) and have researched the dubia roaches.Quail on the way! Question on that, they are roaches, arent they mostly exoskeleton with guts ? Is it bad to give them too much ? I have no idea so asking lolDubia are excellent quail treats, and a little healthier than mealworms too. They are expensive to buy regularly and slow to breed, but worth it in the end. My roach culture has hundreds and provides enough to keep them in treats year round.
Dubia have tough shells but only when they get to subadult/adult. The bite-sized ones are quite soft and easy to digest. At all stages a well-fed dubia is filled with meat and stomach contents, they have a huge gut for digesting plant matter which makes them great for gutloading for feeding to reptiles but it also works for quail, a good way to get extra vitamins.Question on that, they are roaches, arent they mostly exoskeleton with guts ?
