His wife did not eat beef due to religious preferences. I think she was vegan too. He brought home some beef jerky and told her it was dried fruit. She ate it and loved it. When he told her what it was, she threw up.

Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode when George sneaks lobster into the scrambled eggs to get back at Jerry's girlfriend for the "shrinkage" encounter.

The stories all illustrate one of the reasons that insect protein makes far more sense as livestock feed than it does as people food...the "yuck" factor.

I couldn't agree more. He thought it was funny. I didn't say he was nice, he was a co-worker.
I've met her. She seemed like a good person. Maybe that's why they got a divorce.
