Something I have seen done for chickens - and it would work for any critter - is to put something like a flat board, or heavy piece of carpet (some people use small stacks of newspaper) on the ground for several days.
Bugs will crawl in under there. Then take Sunny to the spot, and show her what is there - she may turn up her bill, but she may find something under there that she likes - this is less expensive than boughten things.
I also like the idea of planting things that she can nibble down. What about some peas? Or oats?
