I'm wide awake again tonight. l have not slept wink since Thursday morning. I just ate a banana and 3 bites of a plain non iced cake to settle my restless stomach. Hope it works and I might get 3-4 hours sleep yet.
Time to invest in a sleep mask for the next overnight visit.

I’ve found my peers. Unfortunately I get very little sleep myself.

So, i have 50+ chicks now ranging from newborn to close to 8 weeks old. I thought that as they got big enough I’d let them out to free range with my 9 older chickens. I caught 3 with a fish net and turned them loose. But now only an hour later I can’t find them anywhere. I thought they would stay close. I’m still looking for them

Sleepless?! 🥱 Spent the night at father-in-law, he finally got his motion sensors fixed, the whole night, the outside lights would come on every 10 minutes or so , so guess who didn’t even get a wink of sleep 💤
Oh gosh. That sounds terrible! Hopefully you’ll get more sleep tonight!

I tried that years ago, also earplugs, but…I need to relax to sleep, and can’t if something is either on my head or in my ears, then that keeps me awake :( I also found out that you can go without 2 weeks of sleep, after 2 major operations I didn’t sleep at all for 2 weeks, I don’t tolerate most pain medication, what I can take didn’t put a big dent into the pain, so I was up day and night, thank God for Netflix whatever , but it isn’t good , I couldn’t sleep for at least a combined 5 weeks the last 2 years ( 2 operations and one dental splint which also kept me up 1 week til I got used to it) it caused brain fog, now I mix up things like opening the wrong cabinet door or mixing up appointments, stuff which never happened to me before, or it is just the process of getting older 🤔 I did finally sleep a lot after I got home (1 weeks hospital, 4 weeks rehabilitation) for a week, I got up, ate breakfast, went back to sleep, cooked lunch and slept again after supper, which I usually don’t do, but that was only for a week, after that“ I slept as bad as usual 🤷🏻‍♀️
